What you will do

Gamebook is currently publishing a new story-driven F2P mobile game and looking for Quality Assurance Analysts for our QA team in Halle to work closely with our writers room in creating episodic interactive content for our products.


What you will do

  • Work in a cross-functional team to help ensure a consistently high quality of our interactive story-driven F2P mobile and other games, currently a library of interactive stories.

  • Collaborate closely with our in-house writers room and art production: as integral part of our weekly content production pipeline you are responsible for the quality assurance of two live titles in line with product goals and schedule

  • Manually play & test new versions of our client projects with a particular focus on story content and based on a proven storytelling production and testing toolset and pipeline

  • Design and execute test plans for new features and maintain existing test plans for our games

  • Report and track issues, assist content creators and developers in problem isolation

  • Seek, give and evaluate feedback to validate the overall quality of our game

  • Improve and modify existing QA processes and find new ways to ensure the functionality and stability of our product with a growing international team in Berlin, Halle and Danzig
Your skills and experience
  • A degree in Quality Assurance, Editing or another comparable field

  • A background of 2+ years in quality assurance, preferably for narrative-driven games

  • Manual testing experience in mobile and web applications

  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken, and at least one of the following second languages: German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Polish

  • A soft spot for breaking things on purpose: we need your investigative skills to detect the weak spots in our stories, gameplay and technical implementations to create a truly lasting and unique storytelling experience for our players 

  • A hands-on mentality while always striving to find the best solution as quickly as possible

  • Extreme attention to detail, yet, never losing track of the bigger picture: in our stories it’s all about exploring and creating different outcomes for scenes and storylines while always keeping the major plot points in view that bring them back together 

  • Self-organized, independent in your work and a positive team player

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking

  • Communication is key in creating interactive stories for our formats: We expect you to bring an open and forward-looking mind and willingness to collaborate with your fellow QA analysts, editors, game designers, writers, artists, producers and programmers
